Hans Diehl is the founder of the Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) and of the Lifestyle Medicine Institute. Started in 1988, his CHIP program and his leadership have shown more than 80,000 graduates how simple lifestyle changes can facilitate the reversal of many lifestyle-related chronic diseases restoring hope, health and happiness in many. With a focus on the consumption of more plant-based and whole foods plus a consistent exercise program, the clinical results of his pioneering efforts as an epidemiologically trained lifestyle interventionist have been reported in more than 30 peer-reviewed professional publications.
His co-authored books Health Power, You Turn, and The Optimal Diet Cookbook have been translated into 32 languages with a circulation of close to 3 million copies. He is a Clinical Professor of Preventive Medicine in the School of Medicine of Loma Linda University in Southern California. Last year, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the North American Vegetarian Society. He was a member of the Board of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and serves now on their Advisory Board. He is also a Member of the Rouxbe Health and Wellness Advisory Board. He is known as media friendly and an excellent speaker.

Thomas Harman, MD

Thomas Harman is a certified member of the of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), is an established family and primary care physician who has been teaching and practicing medicine in the Rochester community for over 30 years. He received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at South Bend Memorial Hospital. He spent most of his career with Mayo Clinic where he served as Program Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care Committee. He was also the assistant professor of family medicine at Mayo Medical School.
Furthermore, he initiated development of the Mayo Family Clinic Northwest, the site of his family practice for over ten years.
An advocate of integrative medicine and telemedicine, Dr. Harman believes in developing an understanding of the patient’s culture, beliefs and unique characteristics of mind, body and spirit to help facilitate healing. He also focuses on prevention, as well as maintenance of health, with attention to lifestyle choices, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional well-being.

Jengyu Lai is a certified wound specialist of the American Board of Wound Healing (ABWH) and the Council for Medical Education and Training is the Chief Manager of Rochester Clinic and has been providing podiatric and wound care for almost two decades. Originally from Taichung, Taiwan, where he earned his college degree in Microbiology, Dr. Lai earned his Doctorate of Podiatric (DPM) at the College of Podiatric Medicine of Des Moines University in Iowa, where he received a fellowship in Biomechanics Research. After completing his residency in podiatric orthopedics, he was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Foundation College of Medicine in Rochester, MN. Dr. Lai loves Rochester so much that he decided to stay after he completed his fellowship. Since then, he has been caring for patients in Rochester, as well as long-term care facilities both in and out of Rochester. He is dedicated to operating Rochester Clinic as a source of comprehensive and high quality care, and takes pride in providing patients with a personalized and friendly experience.

Jengyu Lai, DPM
Jason Banks, DPT

Jason Banks has been a physical therapist for 22 years. Degrees include a masters and doctorate in physical therapy with specialty certification in clinical orthopedics. Special interests include the development of movement screenings as indicators of health, running-related injuries, and community health.
 is passionate about integrating whole foods, physical fitness, and the folk arts into daily life. Along with his wife, Lori and three children, they are the owners of Banks Physical Therapy in Rochester, MN.
Tony Buettner is a national spokesperson and senior leader at Blue Zones and brother to founder Dan Buettner. He is a former expedition member, explorer, entrepreneur, and a Blue Zones and Blue Zones Project expert.
Tony’s Blue Zones presentation is sure to engage, and provide a window into these longest-lived populations found in the original Blue Zones. 
Tony’s unique insight into the Blue Zones research, expeditions, and deployment of Blue Zones Projects around the country give him unique knowledge and experience as it relates to healthy living and increase well being for individuals, organizations and communities.
His work and leadership in the Blue Zones Project provides valuable insight into population health challenges facing communities today.
His day-to-day tasks include development and deployment of evidence-based strategies that measurably improve population health, as well as the oversight of the Blue Zones Projects.
